Minister denies salt supply crisis in Scotland

The Scottish government is denying that local councils are running out of salt to treat the country's roads. Some local authorities have said that stocks are running low, whilst temperatures remain below freezing, and more snow is forecast.

Finance Secretary John Swinney insisted there was enough salt to go around and the lack of grit in Fife has been resolved.
