Glasgow resident Jane Ewing is one of thousands of older people to benefit from the Scottish Government's free personal care for the elderly. The 70-year-old is able to live in her warden-controlled flat, thanks to the care she receives seven days a week.
Here, she explains how important her home helps are to her life.

Jane Ewing, 70, has home help seven days a week |
The home help comes in the morning, gets me dressed and makes my breakfast. They do my washing and they put cream on me.
I have got carers coming in seven days a week.
After breakfast they go and then come back to do my lunch.
They then come back later when I have my tea and they get me ready for bed. They do a lot for me.
Their help makes a lot of difference to me.
I like being in my flat with my home helps. I really enjoy my flat which has a warden who is here until 9pm.
I am on the third floor and couldn't manage on my own without the care that I get.
But I am able to stay in my own flat, I do have a wheelchair and I can get about with the help of my Zimmer.
I like all the help I get and I think it is money well spent - it is really good.
I love my home helps, Maureen, Terri and Margaret. They are really good with me.
I couldn't manage without them.
