A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said it appeared to be a tragic accident and a report was being prepared for the procurator fiscal. A neighbour, who asked not to be identified, said the community was shocked by the accident. "You can see by the floral tributes he was a well-liked boy," he said. The man said two locals who attempted to resuscitate the boy had been badly affected by the death. "There were two local men trying to resuscitate him but I think they knew the job they had on. "It's just a tragic accident. Most of the people here have rallied around the family." |
