Former Labour first minister Henry McLeish and Tory peer Lord Fraser of Carmyllie are to sit on the SNP government's commission to investigate the state of Scottish broadcasting. The group will advise ministers on the way forward for TV production and other forms of broadcasting. Here is the membership of the commission in full.
BLAIR JENKINS - CHAIRMAN
Quit as head of news and current affairs at BBC Scotland in 2006 after serving in the post for six years.
Began his journalistic career on the Aberdeen-based Evening Express newspaper and also served as director of broadcasting at Scottish Television.
Chaired Bafta Scotland for five years.
LORD FRASER OF CARMYLLIE
QC and former MP with an extensive political career, including serving time as a minister and law officer.
More recently known for chairing the Holyrood Inquiry into the problems surrounding the Scottish Parliament building project.
HENRY McLEISH
Quit as Scotland's first minister in 2001 after the "muddle not a fiddle" row over expenses for his Westminster constituency office.
The Former MP currently works with a public relations consultancy and holds a number of positions at universities overseas.
CHRIS BALLANCE
The award-winning playwright and former Green MSP who was not re-elected to Holyrood in the 2007 Scottish Parliament election.
Has written for BBC Radio Scotland and is a member of the Writers' Guild of Great Britain and the Scottish Society of Playwrights and is currently a "cultural co-ordinator" in Dumfries and Galloway.
ELAINE C SMITH
One of Scotland's best known entertainers and a critic of the current state of broadcasting in Scotland.
An actress, writer and comedienne who rose to prominence on the TV shows Naked Video, City Lights and Rab C Nesbitt.

Baroness Michie - Gaelic-speaker, former Liberal Democrat MP and member of the Gaelic language group An Comunn Gaidhealach.

David Wightman - Games industry entrepreneur, consultant and member of the Screen Industry Summit Group.
Murray Grigor - Writer, film-maker and exhibition designer.
