The Scottish Parliament has published the guest list for the royal opening of its third session. The Queen and MSPs will be joined by Sir Sean Connery and the Edinburgh man who has been cleaning Scotland's crown for more than half a century.
Bill Jameson, 87, has been polishing the Honours of Scotland since 1954, but is now planning to retire.
He will have a front row seat at the opening alongside celebrities like actor Sir Sean on Saturday.
Local heroes from every constituency in Scotland will join politicians, religious leaders and flame throwers in a traditional riding down the Royal Mile.
The procession will end up in Holyrood's gardens, where musicians like the Red Hot Chilli Pipers will perform at a free event called the Picnic at the Parliament.
