MSPs' property cash under review
Holyrood building
MSPs who cannot commute to Holyrood are eligible for the cash
Accommodation allowances for MSPs are to be reviewed following controversy over cash paid to members for renting or buying a property in Edinburgh.

The allowances go to MSPs who live too far away to commute to Holyrood.

Critics claim taxpayers' help has enabled some MSPs to profit from the rising housing market.

A review paper is to be prepared for the Scottish Parliament's corporate body. Any change to the scheme will require a vote at Holyrood.
