The many factors associated with teenage pregnancies will come under close inspection at a special conference on Tuesday in Aberdeen.
He won international plaudits for the work he carried out at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital where major improvements were made to care given to expectant mothers and their babies. Recent figures show a slight fall in the number of teenage pregnancies and healthcare professionals say although that is nothing to be proud of it is an early indicator that new strategies are working.
