Scottish Enterprise is expected to outine restructuring plans |
Union leaders have warned of more than 100 job cuts at Scottish Enterprise as the economic development agency seeks to address financial difficulties. BBC Scotland revealed last week that Scottish Enterprise could be heading for a 60m overspend.
Major projects could be axed and there could be management job losses as a result of the problems.
Unions have been called to a meeting on Thursday to hear about the proposed restructuring at the agency.
Scottish Enterprise has already announced that 30m of next year's cash has been used to meet its budget commitments in the current financial year.
And at the start fo March it sold off six of its prime sites to help address the funding gap.
The meeting between union officials and Scottish Enterprise comes two weeks after an Audit Scotland report said the agency's achievements were not clear.
