Pensions strike: round the regions | | An estimated 150,000 public sector workers have taken part in a day of industrial action over government plans to scrap a rule which allows some employees to retire at 60 on a full pension. The strike action has hit schools, transport and most council services. Here is a round-up of how the action has hit services across the country.
EDINBURGH AND EAST Pickets with placards were highly visible outside council buildings as about 10,000 public sector workers in Edinburgh took part in the strike.
