A meeting will discuss the report on Douglas Ewart High School |
The public is to have its say on a highly critical report on a Dumfries and Galloway secondary school. Everyone with an interest in Douglas Ewart High School in Newton Stewart has been invited to the talks.
The move follows a school board meeting about the inspectors' report which found the school to be failing in almost all quality categories.
The meeting will outline the wide range of actions already undertaken to tackle the issues raised in the report.
The action comes as the final copies of the report are delivered to parents.
At this week's special school board meeting it was agreed it was vital to give the community a chance to discuss the inspectors' paper.
The meeting, on 27 March, is intended to inform the public of steps already taken by the new head teacher to turn things around.
A new action plan includes 29 initiatives so far - and will be central to debate at the meeting.
