Scotland is emerging as a top player in the games industry

The recruitment fair in Dundee aims to appeal to everyone, from programmers and animators to artists and designers.

The city is home to some of the world's most successful computer game development studios, responsible for some leading titles.

The free event, organised by Scottish Enterprise, will be held on 31 March.

Colin Anderson, managing director of digital media company Denki Ltd, will be attending the event.

'High calibre'

"We are going to be there because we believe there is a strong pool of talented people who might not be aware that this is a career with opportunities for them," he said.

"We also want to raise our company profile and the industry profile, generally, among the workers of tomorrow to make sure we have a stream of high quality, high calibre people coming through."

Other companies attending the event include Real Time Worlds, Tayside's biggest employer in the sector and fledgling Dalkeith company Outerlight, due to release its first product in May.

Carri Cusick, digital media executive at Scottish Enterprise Tayside, said the line-up of businesses taking part in the event showed they believed the industry had a bright future.
