A woman has been killed in a road crash on the A7 close to Canonbie in Dumfries and Galloway. Police confirmed that Amanda Foster, 30, from Langholm, died in the accident one mile north of the B720 junction.
The crash happened at about 2330 GMT on Monday on the route, which runs across the Scotland-England border.
Police said only one vehicle was involved in the incident and the road remained closed for a time while an investigation was carried out.
