Bus drivers reject new pay offer
Striking bus drivers
The drivers have rejected the latest offer
Bus drivers who held a one-day strike in Edinburgh on Monday have rejected a new pay deal.

Managers at Lothian Buses said they were "deeply disappointed" that the revised offer had been rejected after talks on Thursday.

However, the T&G accused the company of trying to make a fool of the union.

More than 1,400 drivers were involved in Monday's action over pay and have planned a two-day strike at the end of the month.

They are currently working to an overtime ban.

Monday's strike was called after the drivers rejected a 5% pay increase put forward by management. They are looking for just over 6%.

The T&G union said the offer was tied to changes to rosters and routes which would lead to more weekend work.
