 Glasgow Airport remains Scotland's busiest |
Some of Scotland's airports are handling record numbers of passengers this summer, according to operator BAA. Figures show that 1,939,100 passengers used Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports in June, a rise of 7.1% on the same month last year.
In the 12 months to June, the airports handled over 19.6 million passengers, up 6.2% on the previous year.
Donal Dowds, of BAA Scotland, said: "All three airports saw international traffic rise substantially last month."
He said: "With direct flights to more than 120 destinations worldwide, more people than ever before will fly from Scotland this summer.
"Our airports will also welcome unprecedented numbers of visitors to Scotland this summer as the country plays host to a series of showcase events.

"With the eyes of the world firmly focused on Scotland, our airports will ensure visitors to our country enjoy a warm welcome."
Glasgow Airport was Scotland's busiest last month, with 890,800 passengers, up 4.3% on the previous record June.
Prague was the fastest growing destination, with flights to Barcelona, Dublin, Las Palmas and Dubai also performing well.
In the year to June, Glasgow Airport handled just under 8.7 million passengers, up 5.3% on last year.

Edinburgh Airport was the fastest growing of BAA Scotland's airports in June, handling 790,400 passengers, an increase of 9.6% on last year.
In the year to June, Edinburgh Airport handled 8.2 million passengers, up 6.6% on last year.
The international travel boom continued at Aberdeen Airport where overall passenger numbers rose by 9.3% to 257,900.
The Norwegian city of Bergen was the fastest growing European destination, followed by Groningen, Dublin and Amsterdam.
In the 12 months to June, Aberdeen Airport handled 2.7 million passengers, a rise of 7.4% on last year.
In annual terms, Aberdeen remains the fastest growing of BAA Scotland's airports.
Meanwhile, Inverness Airport, which is operated by Highlands and Islands Airports Limited, handled 4,900 passengers at the weekend, breaking the previous record 4,400 passenger total set over the weekend of 2 and 3 July.
