One of the men accused of child abuse on the island of Lewis almost 18 months ago is calling for a report into the investigation to be published. Peter Nelson, who is 60 and disabled, said his life had been wrecked after he was arrested in October 2003.
Mr Nelson was one of seven men and a woman arrested in a series of dawn raids on the island and in England.
He said the least he should get is an apology after the Crown Office dropped all charges.
Western Isles Council called in the Scottish Executive's Social Work Services Inspectorate to analyse the handling of the investigation, code named Operation Haven.
Originally, the inspectors' report should have been completed by October last year.
But it has never been made public.
Mr Nelson said his life was ruined by police and social workers and he expected an apology.
He said the report should be made public to expose exactly how badly the investigation was handled.
