Five hurt in Dumfries bus crash
Scene of collision
The road was closed for four hours during the police investigation
Five people were injured after a minibus and a car were in collision on the outskirts of Dumfries.

Firefighters used cutting gear to free the 20-year-old car driver and the minibus driver, 51, from the wreckage.

Three elderly passengers who were on the bus were also injured in the crash on the A75 at about 1620 BST on Monday.

The injured were being treated at Dumfries Royal Infirmary but their conditions were not known. The A75 has reopened after the incident.

Dumfries and Galloway Police said there was no-one else on the bus at the time of the incident.

The road was closed for four hours while officers carried out an investigation.

Wreckage on the A75 between the A76 and A701 roundabouts blocked both carriageways, but the roads have since reopened.
