Mark had been reported missing by his mother
A 28-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a schoolboy in Glasgow.

The body of eight-year-old Mark Cummings was found at a block of flats in Charles Street, in the Royston area of the city on Friday night.

The schoolboy, who had been out playing football with friends in the area, was reported missing by his mother at about 1940 BST.

Stuart Leggate made no plea or declaration at Glasgow Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody.

Police launched a full-scale search for the child involving a helicopter, a police dog team and a number of officers.
