Gordon Logan was struck by a Renault Clio
A 10-year-old boy killed in a road accident outside a supermarket in Kirkcaldy has been named by police.

Gordon Logan was seriously injured when he was struck by a Renault Clio outside the Asda superstore on Dunnikier Way.

Police are appealing for information about the accident, which took place just before 2000 GMT on Tuesday.

The boy, who lived in the town's Park Road, was taken to the nearby Victoria Hospital but later died from his injuries.

Fife Police said Gordon was walking with an 11-year-old friend when the accident happened and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Chief Inspector Bob Farmer said: "We are anxious to trace any person who was in the area around that time and who may have seen the boys or the Renault Clio motor car prior to or indeed at the time of the collision."
