George Reid said the garden lobby is his favourite part of the complex |
The Scottish Parliament's presiding officer has moved into his office in the new building at Holyrood. George Reid's rooms are in the Queensberry House section of the complex, which will open next month.
He has joined the 290 parliamentary staff who began moving to their new permanent offices on Monday.
The presiding officer, who also gave the media access to the acclaimed garden lobby, said the cost of the project remained unchanged at 430.5m.
The garden lobby links Queensberry House with the MSPs' block and the main debating chamber.
It brings together facilities such as research rooms, a travel desk and Post Office, and has a small terrace outside.
Mr Reid said the garden lobby, which has been praised by architectural experts, was his favourite place in the complex.

He predicted that it would become the "beating heart of the parliament". Mr Reid said he was "delighted" to have moved into his new office on the second floor of historic Queensberry House.
"I've been pushing very hard for the past year or so and for me personally it's very pleasant to be installed and I'm delighted how things have been moving according to plan," he said.
It is hoped that all of the 460 staff employed by the Scottish Parliament's Corporate Body will be in place by 16 August.
Non-parliament employees, including MSPs, party officials and the media, are due to move in before parliamentary business begins on 7 September.
By that stage almost 1,000 people will be working in the complex.
The Queen is due to officially open the building on 9 October.
