Scotland is set to host the celebrity-studded MTV Europe Music Awards, it has emerged.
Officials are due to announce on Monday that the event will take place at the Ocean Terminal in Leith, Edinburgh.
Reports have suggested that Kylie Minogue and Madonna are among the artists who could appear in the Scottish capital.
The week-long event is expected to provide a major tourist boost for the country, attracting thousands of visitors.
Scottish Enterprise and MTV had hoped to keep the announcement under wraps until Monday, but the news leaked out in advance.
Scotland's First Minister Jack McConnell and Scottish Enterprise chief executive Robert Crawford are expected to unveil details of the show at a press conference in Leith.

A Scottish Enterprise spokeswoman said: "Scotland will be named on Monday as the location of a spectacular global event which will bring Scotland into the homes of millions of people across the world."
Scotland fought off competition from Copenhagen and Belfast to hold the event, which takes place in November.
Last year's ceremony was hosted by US rapper P Diddy and took place in Barcelona.
The show also featured live performances from Coldplay, Enrique Iglesias and Robbie Williams.
Rapper Eminem was the big winner in 2002, picking up awards for best male artist, best album and best hip-hop artist.
The other winners included Kylie Minogue, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park.
