SNP leader Alex Salmond has criticised Chancellor Gordon Brown for his attempt to "sell out" Scottish interests in his pursuit of the top job in UK politics. Mr Salmond's comments at the party's annual Bannockburn Rally came after Mr Brown said that Britain's Trident nuclear deterrent should be replaced.
The SNP leader said: "For 20 years we have witnessed the obscenity of Trident on Scottish shores".
He said Scotland should "take a stand" against plans to replace Trident.
