 | | Sunday, 3 March, 2002, 10:32 GMT Man killed in oil rig accident  Details of the incident have not been released A 44-year-old oil worker has died in an accident on a drilling rig near Shetland. Andrew Graham, from Aberdeen, died on Saturday on a rig operated by the company Transocean Sedcoforex. An investigation has now been launched into the accident on the Transocean Leader. It was operating 86-miles west of Shetland, in BP's Schiehallion Field.
Details of the incident have not been released, but police, health and safety officials and the rig's owners have suspended work until the probe is completed. The accident, which did not damage the rig, happened on Saturday morning and Grampian police were alerted at around 1200 GMT. Two police officers have flown out to the unit and have been joined by health and safety officers. A spokesman for Transocean Sedcoforex extended the company's sympathies to Mr Graham's family. He said: "Staff and management at the company have expressed their deepest sorrow over the tragic incident and extend their sympathy to Andrew's relatives."
