| Monday, 24 September, 2001, 07:00 GMT 08:00 UK Missing walker's body found ![]() The body of a missing hill walker from Derbyshire who was last seen in the Scottish Highlands more than three weeks ago has been found by a mountain rescue team. Four members of Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team discovered the body of David Burt, 33, from Derby, on An Teallach mountain in Ross-shire. His body was removed from the mountain by Stornoway Coastguard's helicopter. Rescue teams had been looking for Mr Burt, a Derby council worker, for the past week.
Northern Constabulary discovered Mr Burt's maroon Honda Civic in a car park at Coire Haillie in east Dundonnell last week. Stornoway Coastguard flew over the area using heat-seeking equipment in an attempt to locate the walker. A post-mortem examination is planned for Monday. Second body Meanwhile, the body of another man was recovered from a mountain in Scotland on Saturday. Thomas Kelly, 30, from Thurso, Caithness, fell from an area known as Tower Scoop at Ben Nevis at noon on Saturday. Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team recovered the body with the assistance of an RAF helicopter.
