The incident is said to have happened during rush hour
Police say a woman has been dragged from her car and physically attacked after an apparent road rage of incident.

The 31-year-old driver was left badly bruised and shaken after the dispute with a man who walked in front of the vehicle.

Strathclyde Police said the woman was driving her Volkswagen Polo when the attack happened in the Scotstoun area of Glasgow during Wednesday morning's rush hour.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward
As the lights changed to green and she moved forward a male pedestrian walked into her path causing her to brake.

The spokesman said: "She sounded her car horn and pointed to the green light to indicate that she had right of way.

"As she did this the male punched the bonnet of the car, walked round to the driver's door and punched the door window.

"The woman was then dragged from the vehicle and was repeatedly punched and kicked about the head and body."

Her assailant then made off in the direction of Dumbarton Road.

The woman was said to have been shaken by the incident, but she did not require hospital treatment.

Constable Malcolm McLeod appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.

Busy road

"At the time of the incident the roadway was very busy with pedestrians and motorists," he said.

"I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us."

The man is described as well built, 5ft 10in, in his late 20s to early 30s, clean shaven, with short dark hair.

He was wearing a bright red fleece, jeans and had a set of headphones on.
