Senior Conservatives and Liberal Democrats are holding talks in Whitehall to try and form a government.
Party leaders David Cameron and Nick Clegg met twice over the weekend to try to see if there is any scope for a power-sharing agreement.
The Lib Dems' Nick Clegg told reporters the parties are working "flat out" to reach a deal as soon as possible.
