The third and final prime-ministerial debate with Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg is being broadcast by the BBC tonight and will focus on the economy.

Question Time's David Dimbleby will host the debate which he described as both strange and exciting.

He told the BBC's Emily Maitlis his job was like "corralling three bullocks into a small space and letting them go at each other".
