Gordon Brown says that his party has "got the answers that the other parties don't have to get the economy moving forward" but just wants to get his views across in the third televised debate.

Also, the prime minister says that although he is "not very" surprised that Nick Clegg did well, he hopes that "at the end of the debates, people will look at it over the piece at who has the substance... not just who made an impression in one debate."

He was speaking to Dermot O'Leary in one of a series of interviews for BBC Three with the three main party leaders as well as the SNP and Plaid Cymru leaders.

Both Dermot meets... David Cameron and Dermot meets... Nick Clegg are still available on iPlayer.

BBC Three is also staging a First Time Voters Question Time programme hosted by Dermot O'Leary and you can apply to be in the audience in London on Tuesday 4 May.
