Brown: '2010 must be the year of growth'

Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said his first priority is to restore "robust economic growth".

In a speech in London, Mr Brown welcomed the support of a group of leading economists who have written a letter arguing against immediate cuts in public spending.

He added that ''2010 must be the year of growth''.
