Letters and emails about their expenses claims were in the in-trays of around 600 MPs returning to Westminster this morning.

Some were given a clean bill of health while others have been asked to provide more details about their claims. Some will be asked to pay money back.

For the past five months MPs' expenses have been investigated by former civil servant, Sir Thomas Legg.

Ben Wright reports.
