Mandelson plays down Sun snub

Business secretary Lord Mandelson has played down the Sun's decision to back the Conservatives.

He said that Sun readers would understand Tory rule would not be "in the interests of them and their families", and he did not think readers wanted to see "their newspaper being turned into a Tory party fanzine".
