Clegg has made Lib Dems 'grow up'

Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg has forced the party to "grow up" by facing the need to cut public spending, his spokesman has said.

The party's annual conference is expected to give the green light to Mr Clegg to go into the next election on a platform of spending cuts.
