The Conservative Leader, David Cameron, has accused the British government of double dealing over the Lockerbie bomber, Abdelbaset al Megrahi, and called for an independent inquiry.
He said "the British prime minister has got to be straight with the British people."
Both the UK and Scottish governments have made public letters and other documents relating to the release of Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi from Greenock Prison on compassionate grounds.
