Brown mourns loss of soldiers

The prime minister has said he speaks for the whole country in mourning the loss of service personnel in Afghanistan which has brought the death toll to more than 200 since operations began in 2001.

Gordon Brown paid tribute to the ''brave, dedicated and patriotic'' soldiers who had given their lives.
