Darling meets banks in loan talks

Chancellor Alistair Darling has met bosses from the UK's banks to discuss the level of lending to small firms.

The banks say lending is on the increase, but Mr Darling said he wanted to "get to the bottom of what is happening with individual banks, to make sure small businesses and individuals are getting a fair deal".
