Former Labour Minister Elliot Morley has apologised after claiming £16,000 in expenses for a mortgage that had been paid off, saying it was a mistake.
He has since paid the money back.
Meanwhile, Conservative deputy chairman John Maples says Commons officials had cleared an arrangement where he claimed allowances for his family home while living in a London club.
