Gordon Brown's plans to reform MPs' allowances have been attacked during a heated Commons debate.
The leader of the House of Commons, Harriet Harman, called on MPs to delay any changes until the Standards watchdog, Sir Christopher Kelly, completes his committee's report later this year.
But Ms Harman said she still wanted MPs to vote on the series of interim changes, put forward by Mr Brown.
The Shadow Leader of the Commons, Alan Duncan criticised the decision, saying it appeared to be contradictory.
