Smith wants 'quick' inquiry on G20 death

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith has said an independent police inquiry into the death of a man at London's G20 protests must be completed as soon as possible.

Video footage has emerged of Ian Tomlinson, 47, being pushed to the ground by police.

The newspaper vendor, who was not taking part in the demonstration, died shortly afterwards, although it is not know if he death was connected to the incident.
