Miliband statement on torture claims

Foreign Secretary David Miliband has defended his decision not to disclose classified US intelligence relating to the case of Binyam Mohamed, a Guantanamo detainee who claims he was tortured.

Shadow foreign secretary William Hague said that the House of Commons was united on many of the issues raised by the case.

But Liberal Democrat spokesman Ed Davey said the government had "rolled over" after a threat from the US.
