Kennedy's bowling gaffe

In 2000 the then Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy had an embarrassing moment at an old people's home.

When it took him two attempts to knock over skittles for photographers, he commented "if ever there was a truth, bad rehearsal, good show!"
