The realisation by sections of the press that the House of Commons Committee on Standards and Privileges had dealt fairly, robustly and critically with the case of Europe Minister Keith Vaz. The realisation that a minister of the crown had obstructed Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards Elizabeth Filkin. The democratic process. Keith Vaz Prime Minister Tony Blair saying that the standards committee report had cleared Keith Vaz when it didn't. In the chamber for prime minister's question time to ask what was his view of the refusal of one of his ministers to answer Mrs Filkin's questions - but didn't get called.
