The club's chairman says there will be no mass exodus of players |
The chairman of Derry City has said players will not be forced to leave the club because it cannot pay their wages. The football club has struggled financially in recent months and players received only a week's wages in their August pay packet. Pat McDaid said it had been a "very testing time", but said there would be no mass exodus from the club. He also said Derry City had not received any offers for any of its players. "Wee have not been contacted by any club in terms of any bids that have been made, and unless that happens there won't be anything to discuss," he said.
