Injury rules Ruby Walsh out of Grand National

Ruby Walsh is stretchered off the course with a suspected broken arm

Irish jockey Ruby Walsh missed the Grand National after sustaining a suspected broken arm at Aintree.

Walsh, who has twice won the National, fell from Celestial Halo in the Aintree Hurdle and was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

He was due to ride the well-fancied Big Fella Thanks in Liverpool's world famous steeplechase.

Barry Geraghty, originally due to ride Tricky Trickster, switched to Big Fella Thanks and took fourth place.
