A Portrush businessman has praised the organisers of Saturday's Fatboy Slim concert at the town's strand beach. However, Norman Hillis, who is also a UUP councillor, said a post mortem was needed to assess any benefits it brought to the north Antrim town.
An estimated 15,000 people attended the concert by Fatboy Slim - one of the biggest names in dance music.
Despite 11 arrests on suspicion of drugs offences, police said they were generally happy with fans' behaviour.
The 11 people were arrested for suspicion of possessing drugs and possessing drugs with intent to supply.
'Efficiently run'
Mr Hillis said he was "very apprehensive about the event given the problems that they had in Brighton".
"But I am very pleaded that the concert passed off without any serious incidents," he said.
"There were a few bits and pieces, which you could say could happen any weekend.
"The event organisers did it very efficiently... when something is done for a first time it is very difficult and we wondered if the event organisers could do it, but I think it was efficiently run."
He said he would be calling for a survey of residents within the area of the concert, as well as retailers, the licensed trade and accommodation providers.
"Let's have a real good look at the event - it has gone over efficiently, it is a superb location... there is going to have to be a post mortem and we will examine everything."
Most of the fans interviewed by the BBC said the concert had been a huge success.
Promoter Gary McGuigan said organisers had been working on the event since last September.
"It took a long time to get everybody lined up, making sure no-one was going to the World Cup and getting the right dates.
"It is a great beach, this is a fantastic part of the world - he has played on some wonderful beaches across the world, so why not here?"
