Water supplies to about 1,000 people were disrupted |
About 1,000 people in south and west Belfast were left without water after a mains supply pipe burst. The Water Service says the burst in the pipe, which happened on Friday evening, was a "significant" one.
Repairs have been carried out and water supplies returned to normal on Saturday.
However, Sinn Fein councillor Monica Digney, who lives in the south of the city, said the Water Service's response wasn't good enough.
"The emergency number that is in the book has been constantly engaged for over four hours," she said.
"I had a young girl come to me distraught as she is being married on Saturday. That young girl had to have hairs done tonight and wasn't able to do that. She is absolutely beside herself.
"Now I think it was an absolute disgrace the way the Water Service have mismanaged this and I think the Water Service has a lot of questions that they need to answer," she said.
