Heavy snow across England and Scotland has disrupted flights in and out of Northern Ireland. A number of flights were cancelled or delayed at the Belfast International and City airports on Thursday.
Many passengers were waiting to see if they could complete their trips to Northern Ireland after several flights were cancelled on Wednesday because of the bad weather.
All airports said they expected to get back to normal later on Thursday and the runways at Aldergrove and Belfast City and City of Derry airports remained open.
Many travellers from Northern Ireland spent the night in airports in England in the hope of getting away early on Thursday.
Extra chairs were provided at Stansted on Wednesday night for those waiting and restaurants were kept open.
Blankets were handed out at Luton and the chapel was opened to provide extra space for delayed passengers.
However, due to continuing bad weather, Easyjet which flies to the international airport cancelled all its flights to Luton on Thursday.
Flights to Bristol, Stansted, Glasgow and Birmingham were also postponed.
Passengers flying in and out of the City Airport had difficulties with flights to and from Manchester Southampton Cork and Birmingham delayed or cancelled.
London's Heathrow and Gatwick suffered the worst set back on Wednesday but the run ways were cleared and flights resumed.
