An elderly man is recovering after burglars stole money and pension books from his County Down house. The 82-year-old pensioner was at his home at Dunlyn Court, Hillsborough, at 1600 GMT on Thursday when two women called.
Police said this was a distraction burglary.
The women went into the house and, a short time later, a third woman and a man arrived.
A woman and a man were later seen running from the house.
A small safe containing money and pension books was ripped from the wall in the elderly man's bedroom.
The four people are believed to be in their twenties.
The incident is the latest in a series of attacks and burglaries on pensioners across Northern Ireland.
Police have appealed for anyone with any information about the incident to contact them.
