Device was 'elaborate hoax'
Pipe bombs
Army bomb experts took the parts away for examination
Army bomb disposal experts were called to a security alert at a house in County Londonderry on Monday.

An object resembling a pipe bomb was thrown at a house in Leckagh Walk, Magherafelt, just before 0130 BST on Monday.

A window was broken but the device did not go off.

Army technical experts found the device in a garden and declared it to be an elaborate hoax.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
