Prince visited an organic farm in County Londonderry |
The Prince of Wales has ended his two day visit to Northern Ireland by attending a garden party at Hillsborough Castle. Hosted by Secretary of State Paul Murphy, the party was attended by guests involved in heritage and conservation work.
Prince Charles planted a tree in the grounds of the castle using a gift he had been presented to earlier in the day at a spade mill in Templepatrick.
Other engagements during his visit included a visit to Ballylumford power station in County Antrim and opening a memorial garden at the George Cross Garden, in the grounds of the Police Service of Northern Ireland headquarters.
The Prince also visited the Royal Victoria Hospital where he opened the hospital's new state-of-the-art wing and attended a function to mark European Year of Disability at a charity for the disabled in Belfast.
