More than 400 jobs are to be created at a new call centre in Armagh.AnswerCall Direct is more than doubling its workforce with the opening of a 7.3m purpose-built site.
The company will continue to operate centres in Portadown, County Armagh, where about 300 people are employed.
The firm provides customer contact services to local firms, charities and health organisations.
The investment will help position the company as one of the leading outsource contact centres in the UK.
Kelsey Buck, who established AnswerCall Direct in 1999, said: "We aim to achieve this by investing in the latest telecommunications technology and leading industry customer relationship management systems."
"This will enable us to deliver a consistently high quality service that adds significant value to the operations of our customers."
At a time when a number of companies are moving call centres to the Far East, Mrs Buck said she had chosen Armagh because of the availability of suitable employees.
Investment in new technology at the Armagh centre is being supported by 2.8m financial assistance from the government's investment body Invest Northern Ireland.
NIO minister Ian Pearson said the expansion at AnswerCall Direct was in response to a growing demand for the company's expertise.
"ACD is a first class example of an entrepreneurial company which is experiencing fast growth in the intensely competitive contact centre marketplace through an ongoing commitment to excellence in the services it provides to customers," Mr Pearson said.
