The police have said they are investigating an arson attack on a house in Limavady, County Londonderry.

It happened at Eventide Gardens at about 2200 GMT on Thursday.

A woman and her two children who live at the house were not at home at the time of the attack.

The fire caused extensive damage to the house.

The police have appealed to anyone with any information about the attack to contact them.
